Terms of Service

 

GLOBEPADDLER Lake Biel AG carries out the respective activities in its own name and under its own responsibility (see information and reservation).

 

1. Registration

Registrations can be made in writing, by telephone or in person at GLOBEPADDLER Lake Biel AG as an organizer. By registering, you acknowledge these terms and conditions as part of the agreement between you and the organizer.

 

2. Terms of payment

A deposit of 50% of the total amount will be payable upon registration up to 30 days before the start of the activity. If not agreed otherwise, the remaining payment has to arrive at the booking office at the latest at the beginning of the activity. For short-term bookings of less than 30 days before the start of the activity, the total amount is payable upon booking. Non-timely payments

Authorize the organizer to retain the services or to dissolve the contract. The basis shall be the number of participants reported at the time of withdrawal from the contract or the refusal of performance. The resulting cancellation costs will be charged to the customer in accordance with section 3.

 

3. Withdrawal by the customer before the start of the activity

The withdrawal must be made in writing, accompanied by the documents received (confirmation, programme, etc.). For the calculation of the cancellation costs, the arrival of the notification (on Sundays and general holidays the next business day) is authoritative at the booking office.

 

3.1. Cancellation costs courses/events (by GLOBEPADDLER staff Belgeitet):

 

30 to 11 days before the event: 10% of the package price

10-5 days before event: 25%

4-2 days before event: 50%

1 day-day of the event/no show: 100%

 

In case of postponements/changes of the date of the event up to one day before the start of the activity a handling fee of 10% per person is charged. In case of later commencement or postponement of the programmes at the day, the customer bears all additional costs. Cancellation, premature leaving or later commencement of activities by the customer does not result in a claim for a refund. 3.2 Cancellation costs rental equipment (without accompaniment):

In the case of pre-booked rental equipment, the following cancellation costs are incurred:

 

10 – 5 days before commencement of rental: 10%

4 – 2 days before the commencement of the rental 25%

1 day before commencement of rental: 50%

No show: 100%

 

4. Withdrawal by the Organizer

4.1. Mindestteilehmerzahl

In the case of courses and activities with a minimum number of participants, the organizer can cancel the activity until 1 day before the start of the without compensation if the minimum number of participants is not reached.

4.2. Cancellation before the start of the activity:

The organiser may cancel the activity if participants, through their conduct, omissions or other actions, give rise to the risk or impossibility of contract performance. In this case, the cancellation provisions in point 3 shall apply.

Should the weather and nature conditions, official measures, force majeure, security or other reasons make the activity considerably more difficult, jeopardize or impossible, the organizer can cancel the activity. The paid price will be refunded, less a handling fee of 10% of the package price. 

 

5. Program and price changes before the conclusion of the contract

Price and program changes are expressly reserved. Changes will be announced at the booking. 

 

6. Program changes after conclusion of the contract or termination of the activity

The Organizer reserves the right to change or cancel the program after the conclusion of the contract and also during the activity, if weather and natural conditions, official measures, force majeure, security or other reasons require it. If a significant change of an essential contract point occurs before the start of the activity or if the program changes to a price increase of more than 10%, the participant can withdraw from the contract. In

7. Participation obligations of participants, terms and conditions

Good health is provided for all activities. All participants in canoeing activities must have swimming skills. Depending on the programme, special prior knowledge is required which are defined in the relevant tender. The participants must not under any circumstances be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or psychotropic drugs or the like. Participants sin obliges the organiser and the responsible Canoe-guide to inform on site about health problems, in particular heart ailments, increased risk in the cardiovascular system, epilepsy, fear of water, insufficient Swimming skills.

The customer undertakes to comply with the conditions of participation and to follow the instructions of the Organiser and the Canoe Guides and assistance persons strictly. In case of non-fulfilment of the conditions of participation or failure to follow the instructions, the Organiser may exclude the participant from the activity. In the event of exclusion before the commencement of the activity, the cancellation provisions in paragraph 3 shall apply and no refunds will be made after commencement of activity.

 

8. Insurance

The participants will not be insured by the organizer. Ensure sufficient health and accident insurance (including sports accidents).

 

9. Complaints

If you have any objections or if you suffer any damage, these must be immediately notified to the activity leader or service providers in writing and confirmed. However, the activity leaders or service providers are not entitled to the recognition of claims. The activity leader or service sponsor will endeavour to

10. Liability

10.2. Disclaimers
