Kayak Tour on the Lake Biel

Due to the Jura water correction of 1868-1878 Bieler, Murten and Neuenburger lake have been connected to the canal system and thus open up the largest contiguous paddling area in Switzerland. The south shores of Bieler and Neuenburger lake are over long distances Nature Reserve. Especially worth a visit are the St. Petersinsel in the lake Biel and the bird reserve Fanel which is located in the largest contiguous Swiss Reed area at the eastern end of the lake Neuenburger.

 

As a starting point we recommend you our rental station and canoe school in Nidau, directly on the water and 10 minutes walking distance from the railway station Biel.
