After a short introduction you are ready for the adventure. This beautiful nature tour will take you over two boat slides and two self-service locks, through the city Gießen and past an idyllic landscape with an enchanting flora and fauna. At one of the resting places you will have the chance to lean back relaxe and enjoy the sunshine. The tour ends at our canoeing station at the campsite Wetzlar. Please calculate with an approximate paddle time of 4 hours plus pause.

Canoe ticket: €3.60 per person each trip.
Public transport is the way to go. Ideally, the station Gießen (Station Street 102, 35390 Gießen) is only about 5 minutes walk from the starting point (2nd Weir). The train station Wetzlar (Willy-Brandt-Platz, 35576 Wetzlar) about 15 minutes walking distance from the end point "Kanustation Wetzlar". Buy your ticket at the local public transport or order your canoe tickets when booking. In any case you can buy the canoe ticket at the campsite in Wetzlar before or after your tour. Nevertheless, on such short distances the normal daily prices of public transport are usually cheaper. Therefore please compare the prices.
Shuttle
Ticket: Bus start at 10 o'clock from Wetzlar to Gießen

€4 per child up to 14 years
During the adventure tour we offer you the canoeing station in Wetzlar as a meeting point in the morning. From here you can then use our shuttle bus at 10 am to get to the 2nd Weir. This means that your car is already in Wetzlar. Your car will be parked on the tour about 300 meters away from the canoe station in a free public car park. Furthermore, we offer you to park your car for €2.20 a day at the campsite wetzlar. The bus trips are operated by a local bus company on behalf of Kanu Lahn-Dill. This is not a public bus. You can order the ticket and the canoe ticket during the booking of the boats. Book your ticket early in advance, so you can start the day relaxed.
