Canoe tour on the Lahn

Your lovely canoe or kayak trip from Leun to Weilburg. This easy tour takes you from the small town of Leun to Weilburg to the Ahäuser Bridge. You paddle past a landscape with a beautiful flora and fauna and also pass a watergate in Löhnberg. On the way you can stop for a break e.g. at the resting area Tiefenbach. After the break you put in independently and paddle to the Ahäuser bridge just before Weilburg. Please expect a comfortable paddle time of about 3.5 hours plus pauses. After the canoe trip you can explore Weilburg and go for a meal.

Canoe ticket: €3.60 per person each trip.

If you prefer to use the train, the station Weilburg (Löhnberger Weg/Bahnhofstrasse, 35781 Weilburg) is 15 minutes walk from the final destination Ahäuser Bridge. The station Leun/Braunfels (Burgsolmser Straße, 35638 Leun-Lahn railway station) is directly at the starting point. Buy your ticket at public transport or order your Canoe ticket. In any case you can buy the canoe ticket before or after your tour at the campsite in Wetzlar. Nevertheless, on such short distances the normal daily prices of public transport are usually cheaper. Therefore please compare the prices.

Shuttle

Bus start at 17:20 am from Ahäuser Bridge to Leun-Lahn railway station
€6 per adult from 18 years
€5 per teenager 15-17 years
€4 per child up to 14 years

If you choose our shuttle service, you will need to be at the Ahhäuser Bridge untill 17:20. From there you will be driven to Leun-Lahn station, back to your car. The bus trips are operated by a local bus company on behalf of Kanu Lahn-Dill. It is Not to a public bus. You can order the ticket and the canoe tickets after booking the boats. Book your ticket early in advance, so you can start the day relaxed.
