At the historic watergate in Oldau, the boats are portaged (there is a boat trolley for you) and you have the opportunity to take a long break. On request, the watergate can be visited with a guided tour.
Rested and strengthened, it goes downstream to Winsen (Aller), where we wait for you. After cleaning and recharging the boats and a small feedback round, you will have the opportunity to explore the gastronomy in and around Winsen.
The Aller rises in Saxony-Anhalt in the west of the Magdeburg Börde and then takes its course through Lower Saxony in the northwest direction until it flows into the Weser in Verden. Overall the river stretches on a length of 260 kilometers. Compared to the Örtze, the much wider aller flows at slow speed through a natural and delightful forest and meadow landscape as well as smaller villages. Due to its low flow rate and breadth, the river is perfect for larger canoe groups, families with children and untrained canoeists.
We will gladly arrange for you the concessional transfer by bus or taxi to/from the boat put-in/take-out to the place of your choice.
