Family Rafting Allgäu

Rafting is extreme? Just something for taff guys? Quite wrong! On a suitable section of the Iller the adventurous wild sport is also a great experience for children over 6 years and whole families. The family rafting tour it is a bit easier but you still get to enjoy a few rapids. You will sit in a large, safe and stable rafting boat together with your raftguide. You will get the necessary commands from your guide. Together you steer the inflatable boat around stones, bridge pillars and other obstacles.

All participants of a family rafting tour will receive a complete safety equipment from us. These include neoprene suit, life vest and a white water helmet. Well equipped and prepared, the fresh mountain water of the Iller becomes a fun experience. Most of the children do not want to leave the water. On the way we land at the Inselsee and at the kiosk where the children can be rewarded with a ice cream. The warm water of the Lake invites the kids to swim with a neoprene suit and a life jacket. While the children enjoy the water the parents can admire the indescribable panorama of the Oberstdorf Mountains with a cup of coffee.

On our tour of the Iller from Sonthofen to Immenstadt rapids and quiet passages alternate again and again on a distance of about 9 km. Before the rafting tour there is an entertaining introduction from the Boat Guide followed by the first exercises on the water and finally the start of the tour. 

Family Rafting is not the only attraction that the Allgäu has to offer around Sonthofen. The two mountains Söllereck in Oberstdorf and the Ofterschwanger Horn near Sonthofen are great hiking areas and provide great leisure activities besides paddling. Perfect infrastructure and easy hiking trails, which are also suitable for strollers make the panorama experience of Upper Allgäu a very special experience for the whole family. Hiking lovers can quickly reach the top of the hill with modern lifts and many mountain huts invite you to retreat and relax.
