Canoe-Wildernesstour in Norway
Who does not immediately think about Telemark, Nordic Ski Championships, North Cape, salmon, conifer forests, fjords, Oslo or Lillehammer. The countries of Scandinavia are a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts, hikers and anglers. But also we water sportsmen can enjoy these great landscapes. It does not always have to be the waterfalls and sparkling streams of whitewater paddlers, we too will be able to experience Norway's unique wilderness. The southwest of Norway with the regions Telemark and Aust-Agder is ideally suited for our wilderness canoeing trips.

Meeting PointOur base camp in Åmli, Norway
Our meeting point is a beautiful location near the town of Åmli. Ideally we meet already in the evening before. On the first morning we will buy the food for our tour and start our tour. All we need for the 6 days, we have stowed in our canoe and your guide makes you acquainted with the basic techniques for paddling. In the evening we look for a nice place by the water and set up our tents in the wilderness. The rivers and lakes we use on our tour are not always connected, so we have to carry our boats and all the material on some routes. For this we take time and help each other. If it fits in our day planning, we also set up our wilderness camp there. After 6 days we reach the starting point again and enjoy the civilisation benefits, such as shower and toilet.
We stay in tents and will be happy to reserve a place for you at the camp. The following days we are looking for beautiful places to stay right by the water. We will camp wild, so that you will look for a shower and a toilet in vain on our tour!
Note For all friends of motorhomes, caravans or upgraded buses:
There are no parking spaces on the grounds of the start camp, and a camper camp is about 2 km away.
Ideally we cater as a group (food not included in the price), so not everyone has to take his cooking stuff with us and we can distribute the food and kitchen utensils evenly on all boats. But you can also take care of yourself, but keep in mind that you will also have to transport your food and kitchen utensils yourself. We will take large pots and cookers for group supply on the tour. We will make cooking groups at the beginning of the tour so that not everyone has to cook every day. Every day another team should delight the group with delicious food. This does not mean, however, that the members of the respective cooking group cannot be assisted by the other participants in cooking. We will plan purchases in advance, depending on the shopping opportunity, and paddle a short stage on the first day after the shopping spree.
In order to minimize the burden on our environment, we would like to try to organise carpooling opportunities. Our camp is about 80 km from Kristiansand, which has an airport and is also connected via a ferry to Denmark. From Kristiansand you can pick up a fee or take a collective taxi with other participants.
